Carriage Statistical Survey Results Show Continued Dominance in Luxury Fifth Wheel Segment
Carriage Incorporated, a high-end fifth wheel manufacturer based in Millersburg, Indiana, announced today that, as a result of continued retail strength towards its products, that their October results posted a 49% change in market share from last October and a 20% rise in unit volume.
"Of course we're thrilled to still be performing in this struggling market, but we feel we've stayed strong by focusing on selling and building product aimed towards the safest buyers' market—experienced RVers, perhaps baby boomers, but a group that is more insulated and financially stable than most in today's economy," said Don Emahiser, Carriage V.P. of Sales and Marketing.
Emahiser also noted the strength of "un-shoppable" floor plans, mainly due to Carriage's full-wall slide out technology, an "us-only" technology with fifth wheels. Andy Wesdorp, Cameo Product Manager, said, "The addition of 2 full-wall slide out fifth wheels to the Cameo line gives us a dramatic advantage with livability, square footage, and 'slides-in' functionality; we anticipate a good winter show season due to these un-shoppable floor plans and the total Carriage buying experience."
